Saw this in the theater when I was a 11, and the only memorable things about the movie for me were the "Dicknose" t-shirt and the rival's ridiculously hot blonde girlfriend who seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet after this movie.

The type of rich Catholics that attend the Al Smith dinner are more like Kennedys, Cuomos, etc. Not at all conservative.
The Yardbirds (with Jimmy Page but minus Beck and Clapton), played my high school's prom in Cincinnati in 1968. I can't imagine how badass that would be.
He did not age well.
You can add Andrew McCarthy also.
I did see that. Agree it was underrated. Mostly remember the Pierce Brosnon performance, who I always thought was underrated. Never been a Bond fan but he was great in that, The Tailor of Panama, and Thomas Crowne Affair.
Have to take your word for it. Never saw it. That's the throwback to Doris Day/ Rock Hudson comedies right?
The aftermath is awful to. Otis immediately rewinds it and watches it again.
"Something in the Air" by Thunderclap Newman is up there to.
I guess that's true.
I'm slowly coming to a realization that Ewen McGregor isn't really that good of an actor. Those millions of Trump Le Tigre fans have to be pissed now.
The scariest thing is that Otis is twice as creepy as Henry.
+1 for the Martin Amis reference.
Was Child Services aware of this?
Big Thompson fan as well, I thought After Dark My Sweet was underrated, Jason Patric was suprisingly good. Plus it features the incredibly stunning Rachel Ward!
I've been meaning to see "Snowtown", but having read about the actual case I have a feeling it will depress the shit out of me for the next 3 months.
If you haven't seen it then don't. It's very well made, the acting is stellar, but it will haunt your dreams forever. The home video break in is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen in film.
I'm a Carpenter fan, and I'm not crazy about the flood of remakes being done, but I don't understand why he's so sensitive about this, he directed two films (The Thing, Village of the Damned) that were remakes.
