It was on YouTube a while back, not sure if it's been taken down since. I saw it years ago on cable. I didn't read the book but did read about the Quinn case. Is the book also a fictionalized account of Quinn or is it nonfiction?

Thank you for writing this piece. I love this film, for many reasons, mostly because of the performances of Hopkins and Thompson (also love the James Fox performance, one of my favorite actors) but also, without giving away the ending, I think it is one of the most truthful films about human character in recent years.

Another scene that is saddening is the scene where Lord Darlington's fascist cronies are humiliating him by asking his opinions on current events. You can see he is trying to hide his embarrasment and you can clearly see the disdain the wealthy fascist sympathiers have for him.

Ever seen news videos of the "knock out game", where someone will just randomly punch an unsuspecting bystander on a sidewalk? Most of the time the person is with a group of people who laugh and cheer while the unconscience person is just lying there. Jesus, is that depressing.
