Salem's Lot was so great. The scene that got me was when he broke into the house as a kid and the guy who had hanged himself opened his eyes…that image was jarring haha

The Shining would sometimes scare me when I was reading it in the middle of the day. And true story, I read the part with the wasp nest, set the book down, and got stung by a wasp 10 second later. Just a bit unnerving.
