I remember as a freshman in college reading 100 Years of Solitude for my Latin American history class, and knowing after finishing it that I wanted to study and understand Latin America. Really, his books are about so much more than that, but that's the concrete effect his writing has had on me.

I thought it was odd that Bridget didn't even guess on the last clue on the board (which no one guessed on), 2,000 in the time zone category, when she was down 1,600 more than runaway. I mean, the answer is literally just a number between like 6 and 12, why not even guess and give yourself a chance?
