Not perfect in any way, but improving.   I enjoyed the scene near the end when Timoney settles the earlier wager with half a hundred dollar bill.  As much as the "quitting smoking" angle bored me at first, I thought her discomfort with the smoke while questioning the mobster was believable, and I liked how she gave in…

"Finally, a quotable line!"?  What about "I could be drunker."?
