I have no complaints against your style as far as readability goes, but the rules do exist for a reason. Capital letters at the beginning of sentences are, after all, a visual cue to the rhythm of a paragraph's composition, since they stand out so much more easily than periods. The problem in this case, though, seems to be with his mind, and therefore possibly with is ability to get help. Someone in that camp should be reigning him in, but if whatever's wrong with him is causing him to act irresponsibly, it's a little odd to expect him to do the responsible thing about it on his own.
