@avclub-e4bd2b639df676f2741e9e8159b9564a:disqus , are you saying then that you accept the premise that what Pussy Riot did was in fact a hate crime against the Russian Orthodox Church, and that Putin's government is not deliberately misrepresenting the event?  Because I don't think even the Soviets ever put people on

Can I join your club?  I've always thought there must be something wrong with me.

So you're an equal opportunity offender, yet you believe some people are more deserving of being offended than others.  Look, man, either you have an agenda or you don't.  Don't try to dance around it: you try to offend the particular people you want to offend, because you feel entitled to judge them.

Alright, but I didn't think the position I was articulating was salvation through faith alone.  In my first post in this thread, I said that only sincere conversion could save, and that sincere conversion was marked by good works and atonement.  Salvation through faith alone may be uniquely Protestant, but Catholicism

Well, I come at the question from a Catholic background, and my understanding of the church's doctrine is that anyone who wishes to join the Church can be saved.  So if it's a Protestant opinion, it's a Catholic one as well, at least as far as I understand the doctrine.
