Zelda dialogue isn't exactly Proust.

To a certain extent.  This review I wrote was about 35 pages long, though.  It was kind of difficult to argue with.

I don't disagree with you, I just think the series, by and large, only got better.

I wouldn't call Twilight Princess a dud at all.  It had a few of the best dungeon concepts in the entire series, some really neat items (BALL AND CHAIN!), and the best realization of Hyrule that's yet been done.  The Wii controls were tacked on, but they certainly didn't detract.
