Bone and Amulet are both fine series from Scholastic, but I feel really grateful to the publisher First Second for upping the ante and making high quality comics for all age levels. Zita the Spacegirl has the potential to be as epic an adventure and as accessible as both those series.

Watched the first half of season 1 of Boardwalk Empire. It's really satisfying to see Steve Buscemi in a role where he displays confidence and swagger, yet is still be able to pull out a startled "Jesus!" a la Ghost World.

I saw this last week at the Library of Congress' Audiovisual Collection. They had live, on-stage, musical accompaniment via Wurlitzer organ. It was magnificent.

Well, this does happen to be the film that Disney instructed his animators to take visuals from for that sequence.
