I was going to write about Salo, but I have to admire Passolini's passion. Does anyone else find actual animal killing the most shocking thing ever? As an animal lover, there's nothing worse for me.

I just did not get Under the Skin. Artistically…yes, it looked beautiful. It was the Brown Bunny of feminist, alien nonsense. Drive, Rain, Weird, black goo? BRILLIANT!

Also: Did she expect no one to enter the shed? Did she put all that evidence in there after midnight, in a suburban neighborhood? Maybe I'm forgetting something, but how the fuck could the sister be so oblivious to her staging this elaborate ruse?

I really liked the first 1h30mins (or so) and then it went into Interzone insanity. I didn't buy one character's motivations, oddly, except for Tyler Perry, who I thought was phenomenal.

Glad you dig the Brown

I always find myself turning to Weakerthans' Left and Leaving round these times, especially on flights.

I swear it's so bizarre, but I'm still so embarrassed to admit that I don't care for sports. I'm just curious: does anyone else suffer this similar affliction?

What's the most disturbing scene in this list? I gotta go with Maniac and (biased) Toxie.

In high school, we started with Toxie and then inexplicably moved on to Bloodsucking Freaks, which in my Top 3 fucked up flicks (Salo, Cannibal Ferox) snf that probably gets the third spot. Even though it was a Troma pickup, I think Lloyd has apologized for it.

I love his absolute hatred for Edward Furlong and his recently deceased mother. That's some world-class bullying.

I'll check out anything Richard Kelly or Gregg Araki put out. Hit or miss, but I love their moxie and willingness to fail.

FYI: Did this interview a few weeks before Marc announced that he and Moon were no longer together on the Malkmus episode. They were together at the time of interview.

Glad you dig. Let me know how I can make future "Pop Shops" better/more interesting.

I would love to do Plemons. Is he doing alt-country, Lucero-type stuff? Haven't listened to his band yet.

I'd really like to go Christmas shopping with John Waters for Dec. I kinda like the angle of music guy / movie and vice/versa. Speaking of Vice/Versa…wonder what Judge Reinhold is up to.

Anyone have any ideas for future interview subjects?

Thanks for reading guys. A good buddy of mine shot Lords of Salem. Apparently in prep, he and Rob watched The Tenant, a ton of Polanski, and mostly Euro 70s horror. Damn good guy from everything I've heard, with a Scorsese-like knowledge of film history.

Visitor Q still gives me nightmares. Great to see Vampire's Kiss up next!
