After watching the "previously on…" I was similarly excited in the least amount a human can be about a TV show but that dash of optimism about this shit show quickly disappeared.

Exactly. I thought this show may have peaked in its retardation when that double-agent got off scot-free (and somehow is still allowed in the same room as the president, despite the initial suspicions) but this "finale" upped the incredulity ten fold.
