@ NTTBAA

Damn, I always forget '…Jesse James…' A wonderful film, agreed. I read the book after I watched the movie and, even though he's not the actual narrator, I read (at least the first 50 pages) with the voice of Ricky Jay in my head… not entirely unpleasant. It definitely gave me a cadence that I don't think I'd have

How was it clumsily delivered?

I'm just wondering what people didn't like about the film, other than the plot. Any specific points would be interesting.

I assumed it was a merkin. Pretended it was real, though.

Yes, it was. I thought that NCfOM was the best movie of the decade… and maybe the best American movie I've seen since, I dunno, Jackie Brown. And Zodiac was a very close second. Eastern Promises and There Will Be Blood were (a more distant) 3 and 4.

I don't get the whole "plot went nowhere" thing. It was a chase movie. In a chase movie, or, at least, the BEST chase movies, there is very little lateral action; scenes shift into each other linearly. This is one of the things that made 'No Country' so special for me (although in NC, there were more detours), the

I can think of one movie that you should see before you die, I mean RIGHT before you die: After Life (1998).

Yeah, but it has full-frontal Emily Mortimer. Also, she's completely nude!

'American Beauty' is awful.

I've seen 82… good lord, I've watched a lot of crap in my life.

Please explain.

@ Hey Jackass- Yeah, I think if you're not paying for something, but you get it anyways, it's considered free. I'm pretty sure that wasn't your point, though.

You know what else sucks? Eating caviar and drinking champagne and getting blown by beautiful women. It's the worst!

Or the Palm d'Roar… assuming he's a lion.

"You can almost feel your dick getting soft!"

"The King of Comedy in 3-D!"

Real good?

What his wishes might well have been.

Yeah, I'll buy the dvds, but for now, I got it off of Pirate Bay. Easy peasy, although it took forever.
