A yes to Obits, Junior Boys, and Islands. Definitely some of the best of the year.

I don't mean to be an asshole, because, Sunglasses, you seem like a nice enough guy, but saying that 'A Bigger Bang' is the best Rolling Stones release after 'Exile on Mainstreet' is just completely fucking bonkers. Completely bonkers. And this is coming from someone who does not look down on other people's

I like that, too. I mean I like it a lot. Almost to a suspicious level.

I would prefer a daily buzzkill or, better yet, an epic Friday Buzzkill, instead of the 3 or 4 individual newswire items that O'Neal is pumping out.

So it looks like Rabin's new mail-order toupee came in…
congrats. But your face is seriously creeping me out.

At a party of a rich friend, I was lucky enough to have a taste of Crown Royal XR, which is made from the last barrels saved from the Waterloo distillery after their '93 fire. It was fucking delicious. I'm not even the biggest whiskey fan, but I savoured that shit like it was 7-year old cheddar. I can never imagine

I honestly can't even imagine nursing a hangover without a Caesar. Or, at the very least, a morningbeer. There's nothing like a greasy breakfast with coffee and a Caesar to make me feel better.

I really like the taste of tequila. I don't drink often, unless I'm planning on getting fucked up, but once or twice every few weeks I'll sit down with a glass of tequila and sip at it. I'm learning to like whiskey, have been drinking Canadian rye and Jameson's, trying to develop a taste for it. And at Christmas my

Yeah, I'm definitely cautiously optimistic about 'The Killer Inside Me', which is one of my favourite books. I disagree,Miller, I can totally see Casey Affleck going on a rampage. I feel good about this casting… it makes a weird kind of sense.

Caesar.
Partytime, morningtime, anytime.

Nothing happens in Zodiac? We must have been watching different movies.

Just to be clear, I do not want, nor have I ever wanted, to see this movie.

Yeah, sorry for my poorly executed joke. To explain: there was a lot of yelling in the trailer. The one I saw ended with the three main characters yelling, one after another, for no apparent reason.

Man, this sucks…
the trailers really made me want to see this.

Great call on 'Owning Mahony'
An under seen classic.

I loved Burn After Reading, but NCfOM is just balls-out one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. It's in the running for the best movie of all time, IMO. (Although I don't think anything can ever unseat 'The Third Man'.)

'The Pianist' is a film that I come back to again and again. It's like an apocalypse movie and a WW2 movie and a tear-jerker all rolled into one. No matter how many times I watch it, it always gets better.

I agree with City of God and it's diminishing returns. After several viewings I thought it became very trite and "writer-ish". Not a lot of emotional heft once you get past the aesthetic.

I thought the 25th would be right up there for me… until I re-watched it a couple weeks ago. It was good, still, but it was a lot more flawed than I had remember. It had so many lumpy, dramatically-strained scenes, I had to bump it down, but it is still very thought-provoking and has some fantastic acting.
