One of those shows is set in ancient Rome, one of them is set in the 19th century wilderness, and then the third one is set in modern day Brooklyn. Which of these proven money holes do you think is the most practical choice, should one be brought back into production?

Take a moment to consider the demographic you are asking: registered commenters chilling hard in a news article about a mild-to-medium-strength Bored to Death movie rumor.

Great screencap of Mulder. It looks like he's either saying "viiideo gaaaaames!" or ending a joke with the punchline "THIS guy!"

Great movie. Great soundtrack, too, from Bruce Langhorne — a guitarist who played on a decent number of Dylan tracks, and inspired the song "Mr. Tambourine Man".

Leeeeeeaaaaaaaaning. Leeeeeeeeaaaaaaaning…

The story that lends the book name involves orthodox Jews from Israel visiting friends in America — they wind up smoking pot & playing a game where they try to figure out who could be trusted to hide them, in the event of a Holocaust. Not sure if she's going to come up again after that!

Completely agree. It's one of those situations where you kind of have to explain the tone, if you're explaining the plot to someone — it's like the difference between the movies Trainspotting and Requiem For a Dream. These books never felt dreary or oppressive to me, because all of the hideous things were presented in

The Melrose books are great! I powered through the first four of them last year (they put out a paperback collection in the US), and I'm looking forward to reading At Last, although I'm not in any rush.

Don't have any 2013 releases on hold yet, though I'll definitely pick up that Saunders collection when it comes out, ditto for Karen Russell.

A fine list, packed well with shows. Happy to see that Girls and Bob's Burgers have such a solid fanbase spread across the whole staff; obviously, they get good reviews here, but I wasn't sure if that translated over to anything of a consensus among the different writers.

This guy's work is the most masterful use of fandom. In my mind's eye, Cirroc Lofton lives to read these raps every week.

This was the first National record I heard, though I didn't get obsessed with it until after Alligator came out and crawled in. Agree with all the praise so far, and I'll add that I think "Lucky You" is their best closer.

I interpreted that more as: the small number of additional shows ordered (six) might be due in part to the showrunner's pregnancy.
