Why does this movie look like it was failed Oscar bait from 1996?

Been enjoying the last of my bottle of Mackmyra Swedish Single Malt.  Absolutely a lovely light whiskey perfect for the weather.

I'd personally go for one of the Port Charlotte Projects, or if you can get your hands on some Leviathan that would be fantastic.
