This article was a bit of a mess. Yes it's ridiculous for critics to avoid spoilers at all costs and spoilers don't always ruin a story but that's ignoring half the problem.

I must have not been paying attention with the Cameron thing. I don't she why she needed to "drop out" though.
I've always found it funny how a show will make a point of going "Hey look a woman doing a "man's" job - yeah we don't care about your rules" then they'll make her a freakin' supermodel. I can buy attractive - I know lots of attractive girls in tech and science fields. They're all nerds though and they're certainly…
So did anyone else feel the wife's short lived objection to Gordon building this new machine was complete horseshit? "Oh Gordon you can't attempt this exciting project with this maverick rich man because we have a child!" I mean so what? Their house isn't that nice and they are living on two incomes. I guess it…
Oh the irony
No of course not. What I am saying though is that different cultures and groups express themselves differently and it's pretty bigoted to assume one group's method of expression is so much better that all the others should be a part of it.
No, people will judge them as well if they do things others deem gross but they're still attractive and they might be nice people so, eh, why should anyone care that much?
It's the job of storytellers to reflect the make up of society? Since when? It's their job to tell a story - that's the end of it. You can't impose any rules on them or make up generalizations about their goals in telling a story. If you are going to criticize their art you'd better have something better than "it's…
Why on earth would it be "media's" job to reflect the make up of society? You should expect it to keep pushing the stuff that people watch and if you've noticed Enlightened got cancelled and this comment section has more viewers than Girls.
What makes you think people don't judge you for your unhealthy lifestyle? I'd certainly find someone that ate lots of fast food and chained smoked to be fairly unattractive. I regularly hear people flip out and complain about smokers (they probably just do it behind your back) and most people I know wouldn't admit to…
As a Brit I've always found it quite funny that it took a bunch of Americans to allow any Northerners on the telly that weren't rolling around in poverty.
Did you really need to mention the Bechedel test here? If you've got something interesting to say about women and this show then say it. Don't derail your own article for no reason though.
The show isn't as bad as its detractors say it is but neither is it as good as its real fans say it is.
I've always found this kind of attitude puzzling especially in regard to a television show that might be written over 7 years. Writing is literally just making stuff up as you go and restricting yourself enormously by writing the ending 100 episodes early is not always the way to go.
Being a cannibal just does not make sense to me in this world. It would be easier to just hunt and farm. I know you could possibly lure people in to kill them but it's really not a great long term plan and ultimately it's dumber than just working with them. We have contraptions that are so good at hunting that they…
The lack of accolades for women actually makes me angry at women. Creative women that is. I watched 88 films last year and only seven of them were by women and four of which (Wadjda, Bastards, Stories We Tell and The Selfish Giant) were some of my favourites. By all rights women should be in a better position to make…
Isn't this kind of press exactly what he wants? Do you not see the irony of this article?
I loved the film but I totally understand why someone would want to give it a C but this review just stinks. It's basically a synopsis with some menacing but not particularly illuminating phrases and then some odd suggestions like "the characters are all interchangeable and the film is really about the time period" -…
Well Parks and Rec really needs a mix up because it has been stale for quite a while and Anne has never been a particularly good character. Chris is a bigger loss I think - they never really wasted storylines with him and he actually had a strong comedic presence.
I think some of the beards were a bit too scruffy for polite society. Nothing wrong with a good mustache though.
