Wasn't there a movie about killing Bush when he was in office? It wasn't that big of a deal

Absolute bullshit. get it out on the internet now. Freedom of expression is a big fucking deal. Let people make the choice to pay for it in their homes. no threat to threaters and a big fuck you to north korea.

The names is very good. On par with the others.

My issue with Franzen is his desire to have each book be an "event". I think he tries so hard to have each book be important (culturally, as a "serious" book) that it takes away from the book itself. It doesn't help that he hasn't lost his Pynchion-digressions. I feel both The Corrections and Freedom could benefit

What do you think of him??

Yes I've read it. I know it's not as highly regarded as his other work but I liked it.

I read a lot this year and a lot by two authors:
by Don DeLillo:
Great Street Jones
End Zone
The Names
Cosmopolis
Point Omega
Americana

I reread Ulysses. It's just as brilliant as I remembered. I love spending time in that world and as I've gotten older I love Leopold Bloom.

Brian Wilson

Watched The Babadook - it was pretty good. The first half was better than the seconf half.

agree arhat The Shield is criminally
Underrated. Just rewatched the entire series and it's simply amazing

I'm afraid this will happen with me. I didn't love The Master even though it was technically interesting. I didn't find it all that engaging. And the same goes for There will be blood. I know heresy. I admire him for following his muse but I just don't love these last few films as much as his first. It's the same

The Good Wife
True Detective
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
Louie
Hannibal
Mad Men

New Girl's second season was VERY good otherwise it's been very ordinary and at times unwatchable

Agree wholeheartedly. And it's amazing that Mad Men in it's seventh season can still be so damn good (even if it's lost it's buzz). Still an amazing show

John Denver and the Muppets total Masterpiece and I'm not kidding

Don Carpenter - everything I can get my hands on. And a little Don Delillo. I'm also itching to get back to Dante and the Greek Tragedians.

The Theory of Everything - Not great.
Californication - I know this show gets hated on and it's not Mad Men or anything but it's really watchable and a lot of fun. I find myself liking it and Karen is damn hot.
Friday at Enrico's by Don Carpenter - I found Carpenter a few months ago and am so glad I did. He's a

wouldn't that be great

On my phone it won't let me see anything on the website…
