This show is vastly underrated - an almost perfect sitcom, and perfectly cast. Just a personal note - as a kid I loved Johnny and hated Herb (I didn't "get" Herb) now as an adult I LOVE Herb (still Love Johny of course) but Herb is the man!

I totally agree. I don't mind "smart" authors. Joyce is my favorite author but there are many differences between the two.
