Great quote, but I thought the whole point of that chapter was to show Melisandre really has no idea what she's doing.

I wish he'd make like a tree.

Good news, everyone!

I heard Tonies Braxton and Bourdain were also in the running.

@avclub-019009b3dba521659466e53ec350163d:disqus I hate when they try and get all fancy with the angles.

As deluded as you have to be to nearly drown a small child in front of his brother to teach him a lesson about the importance of family.

@Charlotte_Grote:disqus And yet I have this feeling he continued to perform, unlike certain comics we know.

As we near the end of the second to last good show on AMC, I say to hell with rules.

The A.V. Club

OF COCK

I predict either cat scratch fever or toxoplasmosis will eventually do him in because, you know, kittens.

As a wise man once said, "La, la, la, wait 'til I get my money, right. La, la, la, then you can't tell me nothin', right."

@avclub-705562aaa4a5b85bfa44373d8e6bf234:disqus Completely agree with you. And I know Chappelle has it in him to absolutely gut these people over the minstrelsy they're asking for (at least to his mind), and to raise the level of conversation about race and be really fucking funny.

@avclub-b20754d0f1e8ae843e00a8b39a667112:disqus an orchiopexy is no surgeon's greatest hit.

Milton Terl does not appreciate the way you man-animals mangle his name.

@avclub-c156902f5b20b572848be18c11634dfb:disqus There is nothing better (other than a great, heckler-free show, of course) than seeing a comic use this to shut down a heckler by inviting them on stage to offer their comedy, since they seem to think everyone wants to hear it so much.

Exactly. Whether you're @avclub-0304234e5dac07d007cf06c22b3f29c4:disqus or Louis C.K., you get on the stage and you do your fucking minutes because it's your job.

I wish you wouldn't use the second person. I've never heckled Dave Chapelle (or any other comic) in my life.

For Our Consideration: When a comedian lacks the basic occupational skill of dealing with drunks and hecklers, should he be doing standup?

How you could have watched that (exquisite) show and think for a femtosecond that it could be written by nice people is beyond me.
The entire basis of that show was contempt for everyone, including and especially the viewer.

I've had success with Plastic Surgeons Without Borders.
