I didn't watch the Alias pilot until well into Lost's 3rd season. The
one thing that stuck out most for me was how overstuffed it is. I've

That's why I added the "particularly". Subjectivity is, of course, essential and unavoidable, but film criticism requires one to seperate, to some extent, the art and craft from the ideology. I have no doubt I would probably grade the film the same myself, but the AV Club is pretty restrained when it comes to issueing F's. Kind of makes it hard to see this review as not being heavily influenced by the reviewers own political beliefs. I mean, I know they weren't written by him, but
