Couldn't agree more with the original comment. Those two are terrible. I liked Wiig at first but I just don't get any of her recurring characters. Armison is bad too. I wasn't a fan of Forte either for that matter, so losing him will be addition by subtraction. And maybe these newcomers will be addition by

If I'm not mistaken, the Como Zoo is in the process of spending millions of dollars on a new polar bear exhibit. Apparently they finally figured out it was bad business for a zoo to make people depressed. Anyway, I guess now the insane polar bear will have to find a new routine.

Umm…
"If there is any justice in the world Lee and Crystal will make up the bottom two."

Poor Casey…
He didn't have a chance tonight. He would have really had to do something special tonight to make the top 2, but the judges pretty much sabotaged him to take away the 1% chance he might have had. I actually thought his first song made him sound more current than the older bluesy stuff he usually sings.

You mean like 8 Simple Rules for Bleeping my Teenage Daughter?

I think it would be cool to see someone try "Lose Yourself". It would take some creativity. Maybe it would just end up being cheesy - trying to put a tune to the verses. But if someone pulled it off it would be memorable.

I think you're giving Randy too much credit, Smilner. At first I thought he really was calling Casey out for picking a meaningless song, but then it became clear he was just making a lame joke about Kara and Casey being fuck buddies. Way to go with the 4-month old joke, Randy!

These lines made me laugh…
If he's that way as a paint salesperson, all the walls in Mount Prospect are probably still white.

You're both right, Smacky and FA. The way my original comment came across wasn't fair - reading it again it was pretty stupid. I'm not saying she needs to grieve a certain way, but like FA said, maybe airing her grieving process over national TV was not a good idea - it doesn't seem to be helping her state of mind.

Lee/Didi
This show was definitely uneven, but I thought Lee's segment and song were a pretty great moment, considering he's been the nervous guy all season, they played that up in his segment with Usher, then he came out and gave his best performance - he actually seemed to finally cut loose a bit.

Urban
Has any American Idol contestant ever had a more punchable face than Tim Urban? This is not a rhetorical question, I'd like opinions. I can't think of anyone.

I too had never heard of Orenthal. I also didn't realize until last night that Kesha is pronounced just how it looks. I had assumed it was pronounce like Keisha. Or maybe Key-dollarsign-ha. I learned a lot last night!

Sorry, that should have said "I have no interest in any of the MUSIC Adam Lambert puts out there." I wasn't trying to coin "mustic" as a new adjective to describe Adam Lambert.

I don't think "would you listen to him/her on the radio" or "would you buy his/her CD" is the be-all and end-all criteria for favorite contestant on American Idol. I have watched the past 3-4 seasons, but have never bought any former AI contestant's music. I have liked a few songs from alums here and there, but I

Toothpaste
Seriously, what is with Ryan this year? His tough guy thing with Simon, where he tries to defend the contestants from Simon's criticism, was already getting uncomfortable, and last night he took it to a whole new level. His banter with the contestents has occasionally been weird too, like when he made

I thought Siobhan sounded great. Also, has her personal appearance changed over the course of the season? I remember thinking she was sort of homely at first. It's like she gets better each week, both vocally and appearance-wise. And wasn't it nice of Seacrest to make her put on the big glasses again after she

I still have no idea what this references, but I do like the idea of Reese Witherspoon being finger banged.

I agree with the original comment about her dad. She made it sound like singing this song would be this huge emotional thing for her and her dad, but they never showed him before or after the performance. Based on the intro, I expected they'd cut to him and he'd be in tears or something, but they never showed him

Llewdor, your comment is both correct and hilarious. Nicely done! Bonus points for using the word "trousers" instead of "pants".

That was an awesomely uncomfortable moment. There is so much BS banter between Ryan and the judges, it was strange to hear Ryan sound legitimately pissed at Simon, followed by that awkward silence when Simon didn't know what to say.
