They did but then it ::ceasedtoexist.
(This won't make sense if Scrawler edits "really the Beatles catalog")
Surprised no one has mentioned "You're Not The One." Like literally the chorus alone should earn it a place on every list in the universe.
Best song on TWFM by a mile.
The bridge and last chorus are so awesome.
No, you can't park there.
Whoa. your head's on fire!
Even writing that down made me giggle.
Upvoted for mentioning Undine. Those dueling guitars.
One of my friends actually decided to add a bit of distortion to Undine because he thought it could be more gritty and it came out really well:

Hell yes.
The percussion in that song is so good.
Look up the Axis of Awesome video "4 chords." Those and like a million other songs have the same thing. I'm assuming you know this already but still.
Thank you for mentioning Fashion Coat. Great line after great line.
"I'm so afraid of you… falling."
"You get two options in the You Estates…"
"I die fast in this city, outside I die slow"
Thank you for finally shouting out "Elevate". That song is five minutes of pure 80s-influenced awesome. Also, hell yes Front Bottoms.
Aubergine is my favorite from that album. It's this adorably happy song with melancholy lyrics and an incredible vocal performance from Aly.
EHH EH OH EH OH EEHHH EH OH EH OH
(seriously though, that's an awesome song. On a side note, I'm wondering why everyone's choosing The Mother We Share for their songs of 2013 and not one person thought of Recover.)
Ben Folds Five- "Selfless Cold And Composed" (it's easy to beeeee easy and freeeeeeeeee)
The National- "Patterns of Fairytales" (this album is so underrated.)
Sarah Jarosz- "Old Smitty"
LCD Soundsystem- Dance Yrself Clean (I know, I know, I'm really really late on the LCD bandwagon, but I'm making up for lost time,…
There are two songs from Pedestrian Verse that are some of my favorites.
Not "You're On Fire"?
Combustible head! combustible head!
EDIT: I like nanobots a lot too, but YOF is just so funny.
Love to see Song For Zula and Cover Me Up on there.
Interestingly enough, I believe Cover Me Up is awesome for the exact opposite reason that Zula is awesome; where the former is musically dense, with strings and synths at every turn, Isbell's song is simple and an honest declaration of love.
"I am the Salieri, I speak for the mediocrities for the mediocrities have no tongues!"
YAY MORE LAURA MARLING FANS!
Seriously though that album is incredible. Especially the first half.
^I feel stupid for not mentioning that as it's my favorite song on the album.
And I agree with you… even a song like Squalor Victoria or Little Faith would be nice at this point- it doesn't have to be over the top like Murder Me Rachel, for example.
"The Phoenix", on the other hand, is my guilty pleasure.
