Unfortunately I have a bad feeling that this is going to be a softball interview. Bill's usually "nicer" in the opening segment and it doesn't really last too long. I'd much prefer if Milo was on the panel, as Maher tends to criticize those guys much more heavily and freely, but whatever. I just hope they don't bond

they actually did

If Hitler was any indication, I think it's fair to say that Nazis aren't exactly the greatest artists

my favorite aspect of 3rd is the lack of a proper tracklisting. sometimes its fun to get stoned and try to arrange the songs in a workable order.

what happened with justin roiland?

Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

If anything, I'd say that NOTLD is more inspired by The Last Man On Earth, the Vincent Price adaptation of I Am Legend, than the Matheson novel itself.

Yeah I think A Nightmare On Elm Street is a glaring omission. Freddy making the glove right into Tina's nightmare is such a simple yet perfect way of establishing a terrible threat, then exploiting the audience's knowledge of said threat.

don't you mean his "rotache?"

oh how wrong you are

If anything, I'd argue that the first 2/3 of Alien counts as a war horror film, while the last part with Ripley and Newt is straight up action/suspense.

I think horror, like comedy, is a genre that primarily relies on emotional response. In the case of horror, that response would be something like fear and disgust, at least according to Noel Carroll. So if a filmmaker is primarily intent on frightening the audience, it would be fairly classified as a horror film. This

this proves that m83 is the greatest pop act of the aughts

It's John Carpenter's "Obey." Forget about shepherd fairy

The Seven Five is worth a watch just for the accents alone. That and all the cursing.

Fisher Stevens was in one of the greatest slasher films of all time, THE BURNING, which was also the Weinstein Brothers' first foray into motion pictures, as well as one of the first film roles for Jason Alexander.

god, sir psycho sexy was awesome when you were 9 years old.

That wolf trophy head scene was the best part of Cabin in the Woods. Probably the only time I tensed up while watching the film. I almost wish that thing did bite the girl's head off, if only for the fact that a great build-up like that almost always deserves a great pay-off.

Yeah, the whole point of Cuckoo's Nest is that R.P. MacMurphy is the only sane person in that whole damn hospital, staff included. Or like, relatively sane I guess.

Slashers are basically poor teen comedies that resort to horror/thriller cliches in order to gain audience interest
