But can I
get a free failure pile in a sadness bowl? I want a free failure pile in a sadness bowl.

I liked crash.

I don't like this show.
I haven't seen that much of it. But every time I do watch it seems kind of campy in a weak way.

A significant chunk of Bible scholars think that Jesus died on Thursday.

I really enjoyed this episode, better than last week even. I'm not sure what's with the eagerness to get to the mother plot, I'm kinda dreading the almost-inevitable let down.

A fourth reason is that it's not always possible to tell how a movie is going to turn out, even if you're a really good judge in general. I've seen a couple of actors comment on this in interviews (mostly actors just politely ignore the topic of awful movies they've made). Sometimes dumb fun premises turn out to be

Oh yeah and
I thought the son's embarrassing-addiction-that-cost-him-a-fortune was going to be to dolls. How cool would that have been?

More thoughts
Is there some rule against them doing this in general? Because life after death blows the "why not just hire a hooker" question out of the water. That service, people would pay for.

Really enjoyed this episode
Of course, you're absolutely right about the clunkiness of the whoodunit. But I loved the Mellie and the Topher plots. The fact that Topher's doll use was completely asexual (he didn't pick the doll) was really endearing.

ZMF reviews movies? Where? How did I miss this?

breathtakingly beautiful movie.

Amazing film
I love Zizek, love these movies.

A series of gentlemen with certain intentions towards Miss Chambers, not always of an entirely savory nature.

This is Weak, but I take the end of both King of Comedy and Taxi Driver to be intentionally ambiguous. Yeah, I know.

Confession
I liked Dances with Wolves, Robin Hood (Alan Rickman!) and Waterworld.

I believe he's right on the last point if you include overseas sales.

Vern
I don't know if anyone at the avclub reads Vern, but he's an incredible writer on film and a devastating critic of the bay style. His review of Transformers is both brilliant, hilarious, and tragic.

Hosea was on top chef? What season was that? As I recall, the last season was won by that cocky but somehow charming Finnish guy.

Do I have a pony brother in Studley? Hi!!!!

Two Problems
1) I think I would have liked this episode a lot better if I hadn't seen the previews.
