Psst. You forgot to say "Jehova". *gets stoned*

From what I've seen (admittedly only about two episodes, and not the first two) that may be true for the plotting, but the characters are pretty flat and boring. I take The Borgias' somewhat loose approach to plot and historicity, because the people in it are far more interesting.

Ugh. No.

Yeah, the amount of praise it got was rather baffling. But if there's one thing that's in worse shape than German TV, it's German TV criticism.

Technically, that's the Nazi-themed parody of the German The Office adaptation, Stromberg.

I think I did like the ending of this somewhat, though damned if I remember any particulars.
But the whole movie leading up to it got so on my nerves that I have no idea how I even made it all the way through.

Dude… did you turn off the stove?

The ciiiiiircle of liiiiiiiife!

Well, let's see if I can make it past episode four this time, with the help of these reviews. ;)

Hm, I found it rather hit-and-miss from what I have seen. And I was actually hoping for AVClub reviews of it, so I could read an opinion on it that was more nuanced than the worshipful "best TV show in the world" stuff from the European media.
Or maybe the coverage here will convince me to watch beyond episode four.

So, Billy Crystal will have naught to do with Mistress Shore?

*audience laughs*

*starts dancing along, stumbles, knocks over horse, loses battle*

The Malmsey they serve in this place is so good I'd like to drown in it!

But he wouldn't need 12 episodes to kill a few terrorists. 20 minutes, tops.

Good thing Mark Wahlberg wasn't there, or else those fake gunmen would have been dead before the police even arrived.

About 10 years ago it would have sounded like Roswell. But in a post-Twilight world, on the CW? I don't know…

I'm always happy to support shows with FNL cast members, but I just can't see how Star-Crossed ("formerly" Oxygen, according to that THR link) will be anything other than a Twilight clone.

Yeah, I see what you mean. It was certainly enjoyable in its low-key way. I guess, for me, it was the kind of show that I liked while watching it, but that eventually didn't have enough of a draw to make me come back regularly.
