I don't think we're getting an Illana or Miles, so there's a slight chance of another Kate episode, but I'd think we'd get a second Jack or Locke before that happened.

They've always cited The Stand, and given how that ended I don't expect an epic showdown.

I feel like Jack has ALWAYS been the One. He saw his dead father on the Island first, and it seems he's had some sort of divine power for much of his life. He just wouldn't accept his place because it meant letting go and having to let things happen rather than doing everything he could to interfere.

I think the reveal from Roger Linus was huge as well - that he and Ben has been to the Island, and left. That implies that sideways Ben was never shot, and Jughead never went off in our sunken Island timeline.

The guy last season didn't have anything for Miles to go by, he just held the guys hands I think. I took it as if Miles had some physical represenation of the dead person, he could do his thing.
