Because The AV Club is either utterly incapable or willfully unwilling to discuss a new show('s potential) without giving away all sorts of future plot-points, character minutiae, or even wholesale scenes, and as such happy to mess up your viewing experience of a show for roughly 3 episodes in.

I liked the image of Della Rovere laying flat down in his cell, for being both so utterly despondent and at the same time (I think purposefully) reminiscent of the Rite of Ordination for priests, which I took as something like him placing his despaired final fate in the hands of his god.

Yeah, he's still in, what is it, Spain or something?
I figured he's coming back to Rome at some point, matured & thus more useful, perhaps in a fourth (final) season I vaguely recall they're planning or at least hoping for?

The actress' name is still in the main credits though, so you'd figure they give her something more to do already this season.
