I'll give you a little love for having a Men At Work album, as their stuff was at least "listenable", but Foreigner was and always will be GODAWFUL!

Seeing The Replacements live in 1983 was fun, but also scary.  I vaguely remember walking into Duffy's in Southeast Mpls. around that time (no cover charge), and they were on stage well into a set.

early Michael Stipe photos (up through the bleached-blonde 1985 version) always made you think the world sucks.

Yeah—that was pretty much the way you had to buy R.E.M.'s EP & 1st album, as NOBODY besides record store dudes and Southeast U.S. "alterna-bar" patrons had actually heard the music every respectable rock critic was raving about.
