I know they used to play it a bunch in the mid-80's if the mood struck them, but seeing The Replacements play "Hitchin' a Ride" by Vanity Fare for an encore at Kirby's in Moorhead, MN in 1984 from 3 feet away was still hard to beat…

No shit…There's just not enough love for the great acting range shown by John Banner!
If you catch that new Eagles' documentary on Showtime, you may want to skip over the part in the film where Kenny Rogers discusses helping Don Henley's pre-Eagles band Shiloh try to get started in LA. You will not recognize Kenny and may be a bit frightened with the condition his face's condition is in these days!
Here's my Top 48, in chronological order (includes scary Kiss cover):
I've got bad news for you..The Twins will probably lose 100 again this year.
I wish I lived in that alternate universe. I was managing a crappy mom + pop record store in the mid-80's (REMEMBER THOSE??), and we tried hard to sway the the numbers. But sadly, for every vinyl copy of "Tim" we sold, 100 cassettes of "No Jacket Required" or "Songs from the Big Chair" went out the door…
And Friday, is "Coney Island Swimsuit Day"!
(does this make any sort of sense, as i can't think of what was considered lounge-wear during Prohibition)
My thoughts exactly—-but that compilation was titled "Don't You Know Who I Think I Was? The Best of The Replacements", because, The 'Mats never had ANY hits, let alone great ones!
It's Stiles, and I'm curious too?
She really does have "Rosalinda's Eyes"…
ATTICA!! ATTICA!!
Jesus Chaw-lie!! Keep America OUT OF IT!
>>I like when Drew Barrymore plays a lovable, bumbling killer.<<<
and Bob Crane, and Werner Klemperer, and John Banner, and Larry Hovis, and Richard Dawson, and Leon Askin, and Sigrid Valdis, and Howard Caine, etc.
This is the heavy heavy monster soundThe nuttiest sound aroundSo if you've come in off the streetAnd you're beginning to feel the heat
Well listen busterYou better start to move your feetTo the rockinest, rock-steady beatOf madnessOne step beyond!
yeah, I still picture James Remar cowering as the cops close in, chained to that park bench after Merdedes Ruehl cuffed him. He's always been a great actor.

Sounds great, but the closest Hastings store to me is in Kirksville, MO (an approx. 6 hour drive). With Music Recyclery stores now extinct in Illinois & Wisco., it just might be worth the drive to find that elusive copy of "Demons and Wizards" by Uriah Heep to replace the one my brother had that may or may not have…

Nice flashback to '86 on NBC… probably the last time I DIDN'T have cable, and I used to tape Dave's show.
