Dean is as much the perfect boyfriend as Rory is the perfect girlfriend. That is to say, they're absolutely not. They were both incredibly flawed and as I've gotten older I get more and more confused as to why everyone on the show seemed to collectively fawn over them (that is, until the end of S4/beginning of S5).

There are times I really hate Christopher and times I really love Christopher. He's an asshole but he's also frequently really lovable. It's complicated.

"Personally, I think we just toss some cheese cubes in the coffin, stuff
some toothpicks in her mouth, and let the people go to town."

"That's an intense kind of pretty."

Hmm… well there's never a scene where one shows up but the other doesn't, but I think as Rory becomes more integrated into the Chilton community in S3 they become more distinct.

Sometimes I wonder whether my recoiling at Lorelai's and Rory's clothing choices in the earlier seasons is just due to time. Early 2000's fashion was TERRIBLE. Like, I'm not sure what we were thinking as a collective society.

I liked Rachel the most out of Luke's non-Lorelai romantic interests. They didn't make her annoying or bitchy like anyone else to suggest how great Lorelai was in comparison. I actually really liked her!

Right along with her use of "anyhow," which I always notice.

I love Madeline and Louise. I find it incredibly far-fetched that there would be two cute twentysomething boys with front row seats to the Bangles, though.

Wonder if it will air against the Emmys (9/22)?

I didn't get into Breaking Bad until the penultimate episode of S2 — that's when shit got real. Plowed through S3 in two days, and I've been about halfway through S4 for about 3 months. I'll get caught up eventually… maybe once Mad Men's over.

Don't most cable channels keep their logos onscreen too? Does that really bother you so much that you can't watch a television show? Do you not watch the news or sports games, either?

Hannibal *is* good, so of course NBC will cancel it in like three weeks.

Grey's Anatomy aired I think 27 hour-long episodes in its second season. I think something like 6 were supposed to be broadcast in the first season, though.

"Stop making every drama so serialized and thus better on Netflix/DVD."

"It's toasted."

I will take quality over quantity anyday.

Considering I really doubt it was *pork* loin, that was skin, not rind.

Adam is a cute movie and Dancy is great in it. Come to think of it I've liked him in everything I've ever seen him in.

The Mad Style recaps are great. For a show in which the fashion is such a vital element, I'd think any fan would want to explore it in greater depth. And I agree that Tom and Lorenzo is a great fashion blog, and the commenters over there are simultaneously thoughtful and hilarious.
