If that two minute/scant dialogue appearance by Quentin pulled you out of the movie, that's only because you decided it was going to before you saw it. His appearance in Django did nothing to disrupt the movie. Furthermore, Jamie Foxx and Michael Parks did most of the talking during that scene.

I have a feeling this storyline is going to continue into the third season. I'm beginning to doubt they have enough time to wrap it up in a satisfactory manner.
