Now, now, let's not forget the network tv general statement of programming: "Just because something is terrible doesn't mean people will stop watching it". It's kept 2 broke girls on the air.

Yes, Wad, that was the joke.
With that set up, he sounds like he's planning another Red Wedding.
Well, I never actually watched that show, but apparently the finale had something that would be ridiculous if it wasn't followed up on.
But what about Low Winter Sun? I will not be satisfied until Pizzolatto dumps on all of AMC's crappy detective shows!
Netflix picked it up for more episodes.
All the likes to you sir or madam.
Yes. It is, in fact, OK to shoot cops who break into your house without a warrant. Especially when you ask them for a badge/access code and they don't produce it.

The book made it seem pretty obvious he was the villain too, to be honest.
That's because God has yet to wipe out a dozen world cities all at once.
This may be an issue, but I don't see it as any less of an issue as Moore creating psychics capable of causing a mass false-memory/hallucination shockwave that had no impact on the plot up until that point. That even managed to muddy his 'ordinary super-heroes' theme.
OK, I can agree that Goode wasn't the best actor, but you can't tell me people didn't see that shot of Veidt staring out his window in the first issue of Watchmen and didn't peg him as the villain.
