I loved that David Cross spent a good portion of one of his books trashing Larry the Cable Guy because Larry called David "too PC".

This weekend I saw Deadpool in theaters. It was quite fun and it was great to see a hard R-rated action film again and I hope the success of this, Mad Max:Fury Road, The Kingsman, and John Wick bring that genre back. However, I did think the film was too generic plot wise so while I liked it, I didn't love it.
I also…
Lucky from King of the Hill. I love Tom Petty but I hated Lucky as a character. I enjoyed his first appearance but they kept bringing him back and I never found him compelling. It may have to do with him being around on the later seasons of KOTH when the show was just average and I always focused on him as being a big…
I still love his role as the pompous Renaissance Fair King from King of the Hill.
I was flipping through channels one night and stopped to watch a couple of minutes of Ray Donovan because I saw Ian McShane and I wanted to hear his wonderful voice again.
The funny thing about it is that his material isn't really that edgy. It's never been. He does curse and the only edgy thing I remember from his stand up when I saw him was something about birth control but it was nothing that bad.
Over the weekend, I finally watched the first season of Luck on Amazon Prime and I must say that it makes me upset that we did not get more of this series. The first half of the season was slow moving but then I felt it picked up as the season went along and it made me excited for another season until I realized that…
Considering that most liberals like the edgy comedy styles of people like Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, etc. this article is full of shit. If comedians are really that scared of college kids, that's a them problem.
Is the AV Club ever going to renew their South Park Classic series? I guess they're still busy with finishing up their Six Feet Under reviews in the next couple of years. Also, I'm disappointed that none of you has made an Underpants Gnome joke. Allow me:
Step 1: renew South Park
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit.
It's not a bad episode but isn't that great IMO. It's a solid story about Bart and Homer's bonding and I liked the fact the episode shows Homer went out of his way even to the point of endangering his life to please Bart. The joke are mildly amusing but it doesn't stand out.
I love season 9. It's a great mix of all the different show runners The Simpsons has had over the years and this includes Mike Scully's episodes. Outside of this episode run by Oakley and Weinstein, they gave us the New York episode and "Lisa the Simpsons". David Mirkin ran his final episodes which include the…
In that commentary for the episode "I D'ohbot", Al Jean mentioned how he went to a bunch of the staff members like George Meyer, James L. Brooks, and Mike Scully and asked if any of them liked the episode. They all said they hated it. Matt Groening was on that commentary as well and he talked about how Bill Oakley and…
This is definitely the kind of movie DirectTV would air.
