using those two rom-coms as examples
That seems like a different issue. You know what's going to happen there because you've seen the same story a thousand times before. In those cases, secrecy would seem to do absolutely nothing to help the movie except maybe build up hype that will then become disappointment.

good casting
if Colin Hanks were just an average guy I saw on the street, I'd think he was a serial killer.

Don't forget Italian Spider-Man

1.6 is a little too generous for The Airborne Toxic Event

X:Men: First Class
I consider myself a pretty big cynic, but was able to enjoy X-Men despite the fact that yeah, some parts of it were, yeah, kind of shitty. But before that, when the trailer for the Rock-em Sock-em robots movie came on, all I saw was a screen smeared with shit.

Everything's coming up Milhouse!

No it's the same movie. O'Neal even linked to the previous entry on this movie in the first line of the article.

Amazing.

The game Jumanji was made after the story became a movie. It's the board game version of the movie of the book.

Then that's what they called music
What strange people they must have been, back in the days of last year.

Mickey Rooney in yellowface as Kaneda.

It has some really awesome moments and some really terrible moments, within the same songs (I feel like someone said this exact comment about Trail of Dead's Worlds Apart, but it's true here as well)

Can anyone really be KNOWN for "Bulletproof"?

What homoeroticism? None of that here. Card is staunchly anti-homosexual. He jsut happens to write about naked boys, fighting…all lubed up with soap…
