The irony is that Skye is the type of Little Miss Perfect Ingenue the other Whedon shows tried to avoid and deconstruct.
Monroe has really shined this year. His reaction to his son and Charlie was great. And Miles' better qualities, particularly his ability at a quip and been there/done that world weariness, have been brought to the forefront instead of last season when they pushed broody and conflicted.
Those reviews convinced me to watch the show again. The show got funny. Legitimately funny.
