Hey. that's fair, and I was corrected elsewhere about the backstory hints. I just felt the show was starting to be a little too dark, while moving away from the pulpy appeal of its espionage elements.

The first few seasons were not nearly as heavy or slow so yeah, it can be done. The episode had very little suspense or intrigue, which are actually a major part of the show's appeal. Again, this is not something I feel too strongly about and I'll probably get back to the show sooner or later, but it felt too much at…
This is the first I've heard of True Grit having a rabid Internet fanbase that was supposed to compain about the remake (or rather re-adaptation). Can't wait for fanboys to destroy the poor soul that dares to remake 5 Card Stud.
That is admittedly pretty cool, but I still didn't like the direction they seemed to be going with his character, and the whole episode already had too much misery in it. Again, maybe when I'm in the mood.
Without going into spoiler territory, he had a flashback to a childhood moment, and it sort of changed his character. It felt like a cheap "edgy" moment to me, especially since this was the first time it was even hinted at.
May I be the dissenting voice? I'm still behind on The Americans because season four premiere was oppressively depressing (and also way too slow), especially with Philip's new backstory. I guess I just wasn't in the mood, because after Justified and Mad Men ended last year, it was my number one drama on TV.
I don't see large groups of people being aware of this movie in any way.
Yeah, today is the first day in a week that the site isn't freezing my browser. I obviously did nothing except complain about it in the comment sections of unrelated newswires, so thank you for taking the time to actually contact them about the issue.
Can I ask if you know anything at all about the Disqus notification issues? I know us old commenters who were too lazy to merge their account with a Disqus account probably don't deserve a response, but it would be cool if they allowed us to do something about it before it's too late.
Cheese eating surrender discussions?
A pokemon that never transformed, but would gladly fuck itself.
I click on every newswire mindlessly. I expect the A.V. Club to respect that.
But they should at least post it as a GJI so I know not to click on it. I guess newswires are soon going on my ignore list as well.
Those early scenes reminded me of Collateral and Nightcrawler, but the opening credits could totally double as Watchmen opening credits: New York, crime scene, broken glass, smiley faces… And now I'm wondering what HBO's adaptation of that would look like.
We usually don't know how relevant something is until we click on it, although at this point we should probably know better.
It's not called a "Slimer" for nothing.
I thought this would be a mildly interesting FOC when I saw the headline on the homepage, but it turns out it's literally a repost of a zero-upvotes reddit thread.
"24/7 Rick and Morty shitposts"
No (15/) love for that movie here!
Eat a bag of Disqus, you mean. It happens to me too, but it goes back to normal in the afternoon. I'm dreading the day when I'll no longer be able to see my notifications. At least let us merge accounts, Disqus!
