I would start with Keep it Like a Secret or Perfect From Now On - the former is a little more immediate/catchy, the latter is more expansive and a bit more of a grower, but both are great.

I have to disagree with the hatred of sports angle, and I think the pilot episode itself offers a pretty good argument against that claim.  Casey starts to focus more on the negative side of sports (personified by the story they're doing about the pro athlete who hit someone on the head with a bottle at a nightclub)…
