I have the same attitude towards the expression "sell [someone] to the shit farm by the pound" from a decade-plus old issue of Evan Dorkin's comic book "Dork!" Recently I thought to Google it, but there are zero hits.
Reminds me of one of my all-time favorite Onion headlines, from just after Siskel passed away: "Ebert Victorious."
You should have sent a poet!
Hold still, Nathan. This will only hurt once, but DAMN will it hurt.
I still wouldn't get the "Paper Chase" reference if it weren't for the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode "Warrior of the Lost World," where the star was constantly referred to as "the Paper Chase guy."
I started rewatching Cheers on Netflix when I noticed the ongoing AV Club feature, but within a few episodes the feature went on hiatus. I was bummed.

I skipped the first Jaime Reyes BB comic because I was still pissed at how Ted Kord got killed off. Sounds like I may have made a mistake.
Has anyone ever figured out Zatanna's various backwards incantations over the course of the series? The closed captioning always just says something like "[backwards speaking]". I guess the YJ captioner doesn't have the same dedication to his craft that the one from Archer does.
Yeah, I was wondering if this was a reference, or if people say it more than I thought they do.
Awesome but implausible. Paging Galileo…
"You say that as if there are cons!"
This episode made me feel like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!
But of all the times for Trek to NOT break out the technobabble… It was the "EM fields" of the instruments that accelerated the disease? They're already being constantly bombarded with EM fields, during the day anyway.
