Also, who starts an epic fantasy series partway in? I mean, you really wouldn't understand any of them if you did that… There's no more highly serialized form than epic fantasy. In effect, by starting at Book 7 or whatever, you're reading only the later chapters of a novel, and I don't think anyone would begin…
