fail
This episode made me delete SP from my dvr. Life is too short. If I hear an episode was an instant classic, I might go back and — oh, who am I kidding? If I hear that, I'll assume someone is full of shit.

kill me
…and now we live in a world where Green Day is credited with saving rock. Is it worse to sell out, or to start out with that in mind? I vote for the former.

Pre Order Now!
Current Amazon #51 in TV box sets (comedy). That's pre-order. Ahead of Arrested Development, which everyone should already own.

So that means it's like everything on television, right? Another reason to not bother watching.

Yeah. I'm for 'Cell Scape' as the correct gateway. And for Melt-Banana being more than just a one-liner in this article. REWRITE, STAT!

mmm
Aspirational television at its best.

last ep
I gotta say, after the last 15 minutes of this episode, I'm suddenly rooting for Trinity. He played Dexter at his own game and Dexter pissed his pants like a little sissy-boy.

Audiobook?
The audiobook is insane. He reads it…no, that's not right. He glances at each section and then mumbles a summary. I have no idea what I just spent 4 hours listening to.

Lewis Black. Lewis Black. Lewis Fucking Black.

By this, of course I mean in addition to the 5th season you've already done.

Finally finished The Wire this week. Shouldn't this get strong consideration? After all, The Prisoner is certainly in the top 10 of all time shows…so why not make that formal list and start knocking them down?

I've always also subscribed to the Id/Ego/Superego theory of the final reveal.

But the real musical question that hasn't been asked: Why does Rover die to the haunting strains of Carmen Miranda?!

About 20 years ago, I wrote up a detailed analysis of how Brazil relates to the final ep of Prisoner, and backed it up by connecting people involved with both productions. But I'll be damned if I can remember any of that pretentious college crap now. But trust me, it exists!

This is pretty much the only thing I've wanted to know about this movie since it was announced. The book starts silly and then grows increasingly dark, ending with the really sick MK-Ultra program. If the movie doesn't go there at all…neither will I.

I thought Zack played this out perfectly in his write-up. I read it a 2nd time assuming he wasn't confused at all, and it seemed perfectly sensible!

Both wrong. It's actually a very dark brown jacket. I wonder, does this come across better on the BluRay?

Lead us
Both episodes work towards the ultimate goal of the Village: To get 6 to lead them. Granted, one works a lot better than the other, but there is a common goal there. By forcing 6 to protect 2, he does become invested in a way that would become essential if he were to take on a leadership role of some type in

YAWN
South Park is on a bell curve, with "Fat Butt and Pancake Head" being the absolute apogee. We may be on a slight uptick again, with the past couple seasons being the bottom of the curve, but I don't think this show will stick around long enough to reach the peak again.
