It's so bad on my hometown paper, the Houston Chronicle, I had to make a New Year's resolution to stop reading the comments. All that hate and ignorance is depressing as hell.

I think this season perfectly captures the transformation from the optimistic postwar 50s to the more turbulent 60s…and how people like Don and Roger struggle to stay relevant in the new generation. Having grown up in the 60s and watched this happen, it really rings true for me.

I kinda wish Rescue Me had killed off everyone instead of just Lou. What a disappointing, preachy finale.

I was bawling near the end of the FNL finale, and very few shows evoke that response from me, even if they're very good.  The transition scene with the Hail Mary pass was just…flawless.
