Ha! Thanks for the heads-up.
Are you kidding, I love the comments section! Not a thing gets past you guys, like the irony of a witch living in a farmhouse when a previous witch was killed by one.
Ah, excellent point! Well, if I'm only wrong about one thing, that's not too bad . . . Deleted above.
My favorite non-Fred Ginger movie is her hilarious wise-cracking turn in Stage Door, with a stiff Katharine Hepburn, adolescent Ann Miller, and barely recognizable Lucille Ball and Eve Arden.
I know Fred was definitely nicer to Debbie than Gene was, but Kelly had his moments too. Namely faking injuries to cover for his costar Judy Garland who couldn't get to the set on time.
That's Vivacious Lady; I love that one. I don't know why she and Jimmy weren't paired in more movies; they were great together!
She started out that way (check out her darker hair in Rio), then went blonde. Also, I envy you experiencing Swing Time for the very first time: enjoy!
Believe me, I have no say in what shows get reviewed or not. But I love reviewing OUAT, because I think it's capable of some great moments when it tries hard (unlike this week) and I truly enjoy reading everyone else's (strong) opinions in the comments.
There was still a "best chance" in there (by Charming, I believe). The show just can't help itself.
I think I remember that the Oscars decided to forgo the song performances that year, which made me so mad I boycotted watching the awards. Just when they finally had a song I was dying to see performed live-
Perhaps you're thinking of Ishtar?
I was screaming at the TV while Svendsen was shooting, because I'd gotten all on board with Bjorndalen's final 14th medal. The day before yesterday, I think I kind of knew what a biathlon was.
Eh, Debby Ryan tries hard, and I like Karan Brar, who plays Ravi, one of her brood. And I still can't believe my beloved Deacon on Nashville plays the dad. But GLC surpasses it on every level.
Gawd, Step By Step is the absolute low bar. It had the doofus older guy and so many wiseacre middle children, but absolutely nothing going for it.
Thanks for pointing that out; fixed above-
And Timothy Hutton's dad.
I really like your dark interpretation of that tacked-on ending-
He probably would have had them specially tailored.
I believe he thought his performance was too over-the-top slapsticky, and he does spend most of the movie running around yelling and falling over things. But it's still pretty fun for the rest of us, and you can tell he used to be an acrobat by the way he can pratfall and cartwheel over chairs.
