I agree.Jaime and Brienne being caught really feels more like a reset to square one thing more than an "imminent danger" thing. Maybe if they ended it with (Next on preview spoilers ahoy!) the Bolton men threatening Brienne the way they do in this coming episode it'd have more of a cliff-hangery feel.

But isn't trying to make specific points within episodes exactly how this show operates, structurally?  I mean I can understand you arguing that their conversation lacked a lot of the subtlety that can be seen in some other episodes, but when you don't have a wide breadth of characters to speak about concerning such

He's got a decently small role in the rest of the series. I just feel like the writers forgot about him, rather than wrote him out. Its stated in season 1 that he's on his way south, and I think at some point this season Tyrion received a letter instead.

Specifically not Loras. In the book its his brother. If they're not going to introduce him (he's a minor character), then it'll likely just be a random general or some non-character.
