Did you guys ever do Worlds Finest? The 'movie' that first introduced Batman and Superman?  That actually was the bridge between the other series and this and way better than most of these first two seasons of Justice League.

The music in this episode is probably what sent me over the top- especially in Spikes flashback montage- it makes the whole scene so beautiful and elegant. It tells us that the specific details of what happened aren't as important as how it felt.
