Not sure how important this is, but it's pretty clear the Cowboy doesn't love her, he just slept with her. He's in love with the Mayor, hence the "oh shit" look on his face when he finds out they're sisters.

The one thing they *do* explain is that the aliens terraformed the planet to look like their own, hence the insane geography changes like mountains and whatnot.
"If there really was an audience for a dramedy about a collapsing
marriage in the mid-70s, it wasn't the fans of the Mary Tyler Moore
show."
I would totally read recaps of Match Game. That show was more like a really fun party full of polyester-attired people trying to crack each other up than it was a game show.
Apparently the Department hires enough consultants that for a while, Harry served as "Consultant Coordinator," so I would think at least this station does.
You make a good point about how if Juliet were to just discover it now, it would be a pretty big deal and would have to be dealt with dramatically. I just tend to agree with Kevin's take that everybody at the P.D. should've figured out Shawn's "schtick" at this point was a cover for simply great observational skills.…
Right, exactly; his character is normally funny for this quality. I just found his ripping the addicts to shreds unfunny and asshole-ish and without logical motivation. He'd shit on Casey's religion because he unconsciously views Casey as a threat; he'd shit on the midwives because they're competition. He has no…
I agree, although I'm also starting to dislike Danny, which leaves Mindy as the only truly likeable, non-wacky-sidekick character on the show. I just wanted to smack Danny upside the head when he was such an asshole to the addicts. It took his "frank attitude" way too far.
I started out liking Morgan but at this point he's just not funny at all. The minute I see him in a scene, I know he's going to say something intended to be crazy in a wacky, over-the-top sort of way, but it just comes across as grating and inappropriate.
Oh, c'mon, the Watcher's easy. He 'watches' the Doctor for a number of adventures, intentionally catching the attention of the Doctor and Adric and Tegan, waiting for the moment where the Doctor will fall and need regenerating, so that it can be revealed the Watcher *is* the Doctor as he walks up to the Doctor's…
I have Galactic Funk too, P.J. On vinyl, not 8-track. I also have the Taco album.
Have you guys heard Shat's version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? He basically fakes an orgasm about halfway through. (At least, I assume it's faked.)
A Jules in St. Elmo's Fire-sized breakdown!?
I liked this episode quite a bit; the only part of this episode that I felt didn't work was when Castle and Beckett actually toast the fact that it was the 100th episode. Sure, the writers made it a toast about having "solved 100 murders, so here's to solving 100 more," but yeesh. Soooo cheesy. Even for Castle!
I'm extremely embarrassed that I didn't realize it was a setup until I saw the Happy Birthday banner.
The serious ones tend to suck, but the ones that don't are definitely where Castle steps it up and contributes in a believable way. I'd include "Tick tick tick…" in Season 2 (where he sees Beckett's apartment explode with her in it), the following ep, and the season 3 finale where (spoilers!) Chief Montgomery is…
I gave a lot of thought about that before typing, and decided to highlight some things in season 3 that reflected my general point. I don't think I spoiled very much. Pointing out that Shawn had a moment with the "girl who got away" in the High School reunion ep almost obfuscates what happens later between Shawn and…
Awesome, thank you! —And I asked my wife about the monkeys and the most she's willing to take is 3, provided that you take our cockatoo in exchange and give us the three monkeys least likely to fling poo. And you really don't want the cockatoo, she's really "screechy." Sorry.
If I may posit a slightly different take, oh great and powerful DM: the show still is simple and good-willed. I don't think that's changed. ThisIsNot makes some good points, but Season 3 has some really great episodes.
I also unabashedly love this show, and am really bummed that it's ending. It's been trickier the past few years to watch it because TLC keeps moving it around. This *is* basically the last "positive change" show on TLC, isn't it? Rather unfortunate, that.
