Can't we just repeat to ourselves it's just a show, and we should really just relax?

Interesting that the next two entries will be Tom Baker episodes.  I think that's a first.

Botulism aside, she looks great for 45.  I didn't mean for that to rhyme.

It may be just the nostalgia talking, but I've always liked this season of SNL.  I was 15 at the time, which probably has something to do with it.  I unabashedly like "You Can Pick Your Friends, You Can Pick Your Nose, But You Can’t Pick Your Friends’ Noses."  Great write-up, Rabin!

Totally agree, Doctor, that so far it's a better show. Not so sure about the assertion that Marlowe will end it soon. For one thing, in May when he was asked "So when is the wedding?" he replied "Season Eight."

Yes yes yes.  The way it was done was really unnerving.

I get that's what Moffat is going for, and it's an interesting idea.  But before he established it in this episode, would you think the Doctor would be constrained by what he read on the Wikipedia page, or would you think that the words on the page would simply change when he read them again after he did whatever he

I know; that's the depressing thing—normally I don't care about the continuity.  I've been watching this show since 1982.  My fave Doctor is Toms Baker.  This is pretty much the first time I haven't been able to willingly suspend my disbelief.  I'm actually glad most people aren't having my reaction to the episode!

"His worst fear probably really is picking up a history book and finding out he's mentioned in it."

I had the same thought, that Maguire caused the abortionist visit.  I think in the first episode he lost his shit at Molly when she mentioned the wife in a less-than-positive light. Seems like there have been a couple hints in that direction.
