I would've exploded with fury over my fave Doctor getting dissed in this thread, but… why? Maybe all us Tom Baker fans are tired of the argument. Or we recognize that people can have differing opinions. I grew up watching Baker, and had never seen a protagonist like him in a show before.

James Tolkan
The poor man's Donald Pleasence?

This thread is kind of incredible.

Cleary, Herbie would be The Nerdy One.

PatronSaint is correct; So I Married An Axe Murderer deserves further review. There's some really good stuff in it.

Totally agreed. I hope he doesn't turn into a one-dimensional baddie.

You may be right; it might be impossible for any actor to have presented Connor in a way that would prevent me from wanting to strangle everybody who had anything to do with creating the character.

…or that you really know how to have fun with your childhood toys.

Exactly. She made a terrific beard because even if Bob was fist-deep into Mr. Hooper in the next room, she wouldn't be able to hear it.

Hooked on Classics
Once my parents had a cassette deck, it was Hooked On Classics nearly nonstop during vacation trips. Classical music set to a disco beat! Does it get any better than that!? /hangs self

ICP is easily one of the most horrible bands to ever walk the earth, but Rabin likes them. I'm going to go with that being the sole reason this article exists, because if everybody else at AVClub likes ICP then God truly is dead and we live in a brutal, uncaring and unloving world.

This piece makes it clear that Rabin really likes these guys, unironically. Which is just… I dunno, I guess it's unfortunate. Because it means that one of the worst acts in the history of mankind, made up of two of the stupidest people to ever walk the earth, gets more press.

Oh! And drink every time he says "That was the next Joker card." Does anybody know what he's talking about when he says that? It's always in reference to a song. "Yeah, that song was the third Joker card." "That was the fourth Joker card." WTF?

Wonderbug totally kicked ass. God, I loved that show.

Ah yes. H.R. Pufinstuf, otherwise known as the moving story of a boy's relationship with his 'magic flute.'

I do, in fact, like engaging in sex from behind once I've finished lunch!

Of course, I love Hong Kong Phooey. But this sounds abjectly terrible. Eddie Murphy is the worst imaginable choice to voice the character. Fucking Donald Trump would be a better option.

I think they're mocking the everloving shit out of it. I especially liked the episode where they show a Mom with a girl *and* a boy in pageants, and the Mom goes on and on about how great her boy is and how her daughter 'will have to get accustomed to losing.' Clearly the producer was egging her on to talk as much

No hate for "The Jackal" or "Mortal Thoughts?"
