My first Cracker-drum-intro thought was "Low."

"I wanna dance" does seem out of place, for whatever reason.

A co-worker at the time told me she hated "Before Sunrise," and called it "intellectual masturbation."

It's interesting you would say "missed the boat," because the 1st (well, 2nd scene) concludes with "don't miss the boat."

"Quit followin' me!"

You can read all about it in "Conspiracy A-Go-Go."

I had seen Astral Weeks listed high on just about every "best albums of all time" list from about the mid'80s onward, but didn't hear it until maybe 12 years ago.

Yes, that made my day.

It's the opposite of "Finding Nemo"

Gateway to Geekery VU lyrics:
*She tried to hit me with a mop.
*Who loves the sun? Who cares that it makes plants grow?
*Electricity comes from other planets.
*Put jelly on your shoulder/let us do what you fear most

You sent me Googling.

This concept has fascinated me for a while.
I'm not even sure what the 'concept' is called.

Other possible band names:
Spawn Lennon
With a Little Help From My Kids
Baby, You're a Rich Man
Here Comes the Sons

It would probably eliminate from the rotation at least a dozen non-Beatles songs that you would (or do) like.

Same number of times VH recorded an album with Hagar that wasn't at least "Very Bad"

And to the eye.

I prefer "Slacker," by a fairly comfortable margin, but I'm not sure of the pure-entertainment aspect among the average viewer. If I insisted someone watch both movies, I guarantee more of them would find "Slacker" more exasperating (and probably boring) than "Dazed."

They are apples-oranges.

Hear that? He was GETTIN' there!

It's a good question. I think I may have wondered that after a second or third viewing.
