Weird; and that was recently? I've been seeing him since his Burt Bachrach shows and he had this kindly elder statesman thing going on.

@avclub-d7f43e1fb2d4977c86163d9b0cb07814:disqus this is why I always carry a mic with me!

The nice thing is that I actually found a dayjob where my title is "Writer." Look at me, Ma!!!

Sometimes I feel like I am cheating, as a creative person, by holding a day job but other times (like when the baby had to go to the hospital), I'm really grateful for good benefits. Writing is so romanticized but it's such a roller coaster ride both for the ego and the wallet. PS one thing I've learned about writing

I agree, I was not nearly as big a fuckup as Hannah and her friends are professionally but a few episodes ago I was like, "she HATES all her friends!" and then I thought back to that time and realized I had a messed-up relationship with many of my friends, too. I think that's probably more of a female thing than a 20

How does Adam make money, is this explained on the show?

One way I find the show revolutionary is that it  casts an unflattering light on a demographic that is typically revered in pop culture. I'm not sure if this is done on purpose or not but whenever I watch Girls I think, "Thank god I'm in my 30's."

I stopped watching "Untucked" this season so am sort of glad there's some context for it because that whole breakdown just seemed so insincere at the time, a big "Keep me, waaah!" grab.

also, ego. Not bad work if you're Chevy Chase to show up for 3 minutes and get hailed like a homecoming hero even though it's apparently a known fact that you're a total asshole.

I also enjoyed Caligula because it was so weird and because I'm kind of a hater when it comes to recurring sketches. Basically what I'm saying is I often like the thing nobody likes and vice versa.

I once told my therapist that, looks-wise, she reminded me of Stacy and Jillian Michaels which was a compliment but she took it to mean I thought she looked mannish.

That gray streak is badass. Did you know it's in her contract with Pantene for them not to get rid of it?

Ted Gibson is much more appealing than Nick, even though I object to his constant referral to hair dye as "magic."

I like What Not To Wear (although sometimes I just fast forward to the big reveal.) I want Clinton Kelly to be my friend.  One of my favorite makeovers of late was the arty asian girl who got the hot pink hair.

I was hoping for a lot more from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis doing "Thrift Shop." The sound seemed off and there seemed to be some lip synching going on, including, somehow, from the horn section? I think the second song went over better though.

she's SUCH an asshole! I know this is one of the ironies of the show but I wonder if and when Hannah will ever realize she has shitty relationships with all her friends (except maybe Shosh.)

That's true, Gordon don't give a f. he stinks, he knows it.

Totally. The part where Lindsay's dad said "We wiped your butts and we loved it!!" That's me right now (in the happy butt-wiping stage.)

Well, and maybe Harris, too.
