I judged the hell out of April for not responding positively to "Shoop." What a dumb bitch.

oh I can't pick just one, but as a for instance, my feelings used to get hurt whenever someone said "I hate Elvis Costello."

I kinda hate all "deep" songs wherein it seems like a rich person exhorts the masses to just try and do better. "One," "Where Is the Love," etc. I guess what I'm saying is that fuck everything and I love this feature until my favorite song gets taken to task.

I take comfort in knowing I don't hate ALL teen things (and I read a good amount of YA). When I start grinding my teeth about kids being loud on the sidewalk/train, I try to remember being that age and how that made us feel edgy and important and real in those times and places.

My book's editor suggested I read it before working on the edits for my YA novel but I never really connected with it, myself (I think she wanted me to look at a successful book about a protagonist who lives in his own head, which the character in my book does).
